Prostate — take care of it before it causes problems
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) affects more than 50% of men over 50. It presents with urinary frequency, a weakened stream, urgency and nocturia. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men — but detected early it is fully curable.
Our diagnostics
- Digital rectal examination (DRE) — manual assessment of the prostate
- Transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) — precise evaluation of prostate volume and structure
- PSA — tumour marker in the blood
- Uroflowmetry — assessment of urinary stream strength
- Prostate biopsy — indicated when PSA is elevated or suspicious lesions are found
