Questions & Answers

Is hysteroscopy painful?

The procedure is performed under brief general anaesthesia — you feel nothing. Some mild lower-abdominal discomfort for 1–2 days afterwards is normal.

How long is the recovery?

Usually 1–2 days. Most patients return to normal activities the following day. Avoid strenuous exercise and baths for one week.

Do I need a referral?

No. We are a private clinic — no referral required.

Does hysteroscopy affect fertility?

Quite the opposite — removing polyps, septa or adhesions improves your chances of conceiving and maintaining a pregnancy.
