Questions & Answers

Does cystoscopy hurt?

We use anaesthetic gel — you will feel mild pressure and discomfort, not pain. The examination takes 5–10 minutes.

Can I function normally afterwards?

Yes. A mild burning sensation when urinating for 1–2 days is normal. Drink plenty of fluids.
