Colposcopy at Femi Premium — precision enhanced by AI
Colposcopy is an examination of the cervix under high magnification (6–40×) using an HD colposcope. It allows assessment of changes invisible to the naked eye — particularly after an abnormal Pap smear or positive HPV result. At Femi Premium we combine classical colposcopy with our proprietary AI4GYN system — an artificial intelligence model supporting the diagnosis of cervical lesions.
AI4GYN — Femi Premium innovation
We have developed our own AI model for colposcopic image analysis. AI4GYN assists the physician in identifying and classifying cervical lesions — from benign metaplasia to changes requiring biopsy. It does not replace clinical expertise; it acts as an additional “eye” that increases diagnostic sensitivity. We are among the very few clinics in Poland developing AI for colposcopy.
Complete cervical diagnostic pathway
- LBC Pap smear — liquid-based cytology, more accurate than the conventional method
- HPV DNA test — detection of 14 high-risk HPV types, including HPV 16 and 18 genotyping
- Colposcopy — detailed visualisation with photo/video documentation
- Targeted biopsy — tissue sample taken from the abnormal area under colposcopic guidance
- LEEP/LLETZ conisation — excision of pre-cancerous lesions
- Colposcopic surveillance — regular follow-up after treatment
When do you need colposcopy?
- Abnormal Pap smear: ASC-US, LSIL, HSIL, AGC, ASC-H
- Positive high-risk HPV test (especially type 16 or 18)
- Follow-up after conisation or other cervical treatment
- Visible cervical lesions on gynaecological examination
- Post-coital bleeding

Colposcopy is performed by a certified colposcopist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical disease. We specialise in complex cases — repeatedly abnormal cytology, persistent HPV, lesions requiring conisation.
